Saturday 09/28, 9:30am-12:30pm:
Learn How to Create a Permanent Salad Garden using Permaculture Design. Drew Wilkinson will walk you through the steps to turn grass into an edible landscape that will provide you with nutritious salad greens every day, year round with minimum care! Plants covered include:  salad plants(Edible raw) katuk, edible hibiscus, Okinawa spinach, sissou spinach, Malabar spinach, moringa, cilantro, Cuban oregano, and several more. Garden design, site selection, and instructions on installation using sheet mulching techniques will be taught. Cultivation, propagation and preparation instructions will be covered for each plant,  as well as some recipes. A handout will be included with basics of each plant. Discover the joys of growing you own local, fresh, organic food!

Cost: $35 includes farm fresh salad medley lunch and free cuttings or starters of 5 different perennial plants to first 10 paid participants.  To register contact Drew Wilkinson at dawilkinson83@gmail.com or 808-291-8219.
