PermablitzHI#3 – Yogarden garden

Photo: One of the few areas around Paul Izak’s house where he isn’t growing food! Hmmm…..

Paul Izak’s Yogarden events transform an empty room behind a Kailua bowling alley into a fantastical wonderland garden each month to celebrate local art, music & food.

Walking around his home garden, it is easy to see where the inspiration comes from:

Photo: Kalo, Papaya, Kale, Eggplant, Coconut, Green Onions, and Hawaiian Chiles can be seen growing here.

Photo: Daikon, Chard, and Basil growing in a raised bed under the roof eves.

Photo: Sweet potato, Kale, and a Citrus tree grow an a terraced slope.

There’s much more goodies to discover in this magical garden, if you are lucky enough to be a part of this Permablitz crew we’ll be doing a quick tour in the morning to kick things off!

To keep informed of upcoming blitzes (where you can volunteer, learn-by-doing and make new friends along the way), join the Edible Garden Revolution here.
