Upcoming November Permablitz: Kaeleupulu Elementary

The next blitz is gonna be special: Kristen Pylman, one of two passionate teachers driving the school garden program at Kaelepulu Elementary School notched up her 3 qualifying blitzes and contacted us for support in taking their garden to the next level.

It just so happened that the next Permaculture Design Course was happening in the next ahupua’a around the time she contacted us, so one of the student design teams from the 2013 Green Rows Farm PDC lead by Paul Izak and Daniel Anthony led the effort to revitalize the student garden, re-imagine the school courtyard, and envision a future school farm in a forgotten corner of the campus.

We’ll be implementing part of the design in November (join our mailing list and stay tuned to your email InBoxes for participation details)… meanwhile here are some snapshots from the final design(s) they presented:
